We are excited to announce the launch of a project that’s been a long time coming: the online Gillian Welch Archive. Starting with Live Show setlists and setlist photos from the 2011 The Harrow & The Harvest tour, we have created a way for you to easily browse and search through Gillian Welch shows.

You can browse through the archive by viewing a list of shows by year, click through show-by-show with the previous show/next show arrows, or you can use the search bar on each page to search for a specific song, venue, city, state, or country. You can also add comments to each show.

All throughout next week, we will be adding YouTube clips, show posters pics, lives shots, and more to each show page, so keep checking back for updates. Click here to view the archive.

The Warren Hellman Public Celebration, a free concert paying tribute to the founder of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, is taking place this Sunday, February 19th, in San Francisco, and featuring performances by Gillian and David, Old Crow Medicine Show, Emmylou Harris, and many more. The event begins at 11am PST and goes to 6pm PST, and it is free! More details about location, transportation, and more can be found on the FAQ page.

For those of you not in San Francisco this weekend, the event can be streamed live online at www.strictlybluegrass.com.

Don’t forget to tune in this Sunday, February 12th, to the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS. Gillian and David’s 2011 release The Harrow & The Harvest is nominated for two Grammys this year, one for Best Folk Album and another for Best Engineered Album. These categories will most likely be aired during the Pre-Telecast Ceremony from 1-3 pm PST, which can be accessed at the live online stream on Grammy.com. The live telecast begins at 5 pm PST on CBS.

A Warren Hellman tribute concert is planned for Sunday, Feb. 19, in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. It will be a two-stage, one-day event in the style of Hellman’s wildly popular Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Hellman, who passed away late last year at the age of 77, is best known for funding the free bluegrass festival almost completely out of his own pocket every year since 2001, calling it his “selfish gift” to the city. Gillian and Dave will be joined by Old Crow Medicine Show, Emmylou Harris, Robert Earl Keen, Steve Earle, and Warren’s own band, The Wronglers. More details to follow!

Check out our Best-Of Page to see our favorite end-of-year lists featuring Gillian from 2011, ranging from Concert of the Year to Best Album Artwork, to Album of the Year. You can also look back over the 90+ shows Gill and Dave played last year but looking at the tour page.
