Moorer
Allison Moorer's Mockingbird CD includes
a version of Gillian's song "Revelator". It was released
February 19th on New Line Records.
 Dailey & Vincent
Dailey & Vincent's self-titled debut, which has
reached #1 on Billboard's Top Bluegrass Albums chart, features
Gillian's "By The Mark". The album was released January
29th on Rounder Records.

CARTER MAN FROM PLAINS SOUNDTRACK
Gillian
Welch appears on two tracks with David Rawlings
on the soundtrack to Jimmy Carter:
Man From
Plains. They recorded a new version of "Look At Miss
Ohio" with additional vocals by Gaida Hinnawi
and an instrumental version of Neil Young’s "Pocahontas". David
Rawlings also recorded an instrumental duet of Woody Guthrie’s "This
Land Is Your Land" with Amir ElSaffar.

Harris Box Set Songbird Rare Tracks and Forgotten
Gems
Gillian and David perform with Emmylou on Kate Wolf's "Love
Still Remains" and on Townes Van Zandt's "Snake Song". On the
accompanying DVD they are featured with Emmylou and Elvis Costello
on "Love Hurts" live at the Grand Ole Opry.

Eyes
Gillian Welch and David Rawlings appear alongside
Conor Oberst on the new Bright Eyes Cassadaga CD. Gillian
contributes vocals on the song "Classic
Cars" and
David plays guitar on four songs. The album was
released April 10th, 2007 on Saddle Creak Records.

Gillian
will be joining the lineup for Bob Dylan's Saratoga
Folk Festival in Saratoga Springs, NY. The Festival
takes place at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center
on Sunday, August 17th, and begins at 2:30 p.m. Other
artists include The Levon Helm Band, The Swell Season,
Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band, Steve Earle,
and Raul Malo. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June
21st at 10 a.m. through 
The
Brooklyn Academy of Music recently put on
a special
series celebrating the music and lyrics of Paul Simon. One of the programs,
titled American Tunes, featured Gillian as well as Josh Groban,
Olu
Dara, Grizzly Bear, The Roches, and Paul Simon himself.
